The idea of the project "autour de Django" was born from my desire to show the public the fabulous guitarist Django Reinhardt was, by trying to retrace, the time of a concert, the full richness of his repertory.

There are two major periods in the career of Django :

- The first, before the world war two from 1934 to 1939 with the violinist Stéphane Grappelli and their famous "Quintet of the Hot Club of France", a string quintet playing exclusively acoustic music.

- The second, after the war, from 1945 to 1953 sees the beginning of amplification, it is the birth of the electric guitar. The repertory, influenced by American boppers, is much more modern. The sound warm of his guitar and her tube amp marry most of the time with a clarinet.

Therefore, through this project, I propose a concert in two parts, two universes, these two that characterize the career of Django Reinhardt. Thus, in a first part, violin and acoustic guitar will be honored, and in a second, clarinet and amplified guitar will succeed them.
